The siblings Mikael Máni Ásmundsson and Lilja María Ásmundsdóttir formed the duo Innri felustaður in 2018. In their compositions, they combine their backgrounds in jazz music and contemporary classical music.
 
The duo uses diverse instruments to achieve different colors and textures. Mikael Máni plays the electric guitar, music boxes and sings, while Lilja María plays the piano, violin, and sings. Additionally, they work with soundscapes created from field recordings, homemade music boxes, and the audio-visual sculpture Hulda, which Lilja María designed.
