HIDDEN  TRAILS

The installation Hidden Trails was commissioned by Donaueschinger Musiktage and created for Galerie im Turm. It is inspired by the architectural shapes of the gallery and its neighbouring library. The audience is invited to discover hidden sonic trails and experience how interacting with its various sonic objects influence the character of the installation.

The soundscape is inspired by the subtle and quiet sounds of the library. The sonic objects have been designed with the library experience in mind, focusing on elements such as exploration, research, discovery, and how it feels to spend time with a book. Together, they form a ‘library instrument’ that carries non-verbal knowledge.

Inspired by ideas of how the body structures and stores knowledge based on everyday experiences, the installation considers how sensory impressions, intuition, and analytical thought meet.

The installation can be adapted to different galleries and library settings.
