The piece Undir Aski Yggdrasils was written for Berglind María Tómasdóttir in 2018 and later released as part of her album Music for Lokkur. The album is a part of The Lokkur Project which includes the CD released by Backlash Music, the book Duet published by Sæmundur, and a cassette.

Lokkur is an invented historical instrument created by Tómasdóttir and can be described as a hybrid of the Icelandic musical instrument Langspil and a spinning wheel.

Undir Aski Yggdrasils explores the fictional story attached to the instrument. More information about the story behind the piece can be found in the book Duet.

The cassette features reworks by various composers, all working with the sounds of Lokkur and Hrokkur, an instrument that is the predecessor of Lokkur. This includes the piece Between the Branches by Lilja María.
